PRE-PRODUCTION: Pre-production at HGI is synonymous with protection. This department's main concern is protection of the client. They represent a safeguard against errors and concerns between the client and HGI production. They copy each job, view the copy, run through a checklist of usual areas where errors abide and if all components are realized, send the job into production. The pre-production staff acts as a bridge between the client and our production staff.

SCANNING: Scanning is an art form unlike any other at HGI. Our scanner operators must be able to finagle, mold, clean, colorize, enlarge, reduce, and transform a picture so as to maintain and match a client's original creation. They waltz arm-in-arm with the rest of the production staff in order to satisfy the clients requests. The department is marked by the conscientious outlook effortlessly existent in an atmosphere of excellence. We transform film into the ultimate quality levels our clients deserve.

F/X: Perfecting a digital image is the job of our F/X technicians. They adjust global and finite color, put images together seamlessly, match a particular fabric swatch or create a special effect. This process requires a great deal of patience and an eye for what looks natural. We have years of experience working with the most demanding clients in the entertainment business and this expertise has surpassed our client's expectations time and again.

CAP: The cornerstone of HGI's film engraving is the computer aided publishing department (CAP). This department outputs the digital equivalent of manual film assembly through careful, thorough preparation of customer supplied electronic files. In fact, the entire department consists of accredited lithographic strippers who have weathered the technological transition from light table to computer monitor with precision and finesse. They are chameleons who blend with each individual job so as to produce a positive customer driven result, no matter the challenge.

TECH ADMINISTRATION: Keeping HGI running smoothly is the main concern within the technologies admistration department. Designing and implementing new tools that ease recurring business stresses is preeminent. They are determined to discover new and useful ways to assist our clients in their work.
