A long
time ago in a young fledgling industry, four individuals
conceived a business idea that would touch the lives of
millions of music fans, designers, advertising agencies,
and retail consumers. These four individuals decided to
create a company, a film engraving company to be specific,
to bring a customers’ imagination to fruition.
Una
Harris, Letha and Larry Harris-Una's children-and Letha's
husband, Tom Edwards, definitely saw creative fireworks
on July 4th, 1983 when they began to build Harris Graphics,
Inc. from the ground up. As a result of Larry and Tom's
experience in the film engraving industry, HGI was formulated
with the mission of simultaneously serving the customers
and associates; therefore, producing filmwork that exuded
excellence.
HGI's
success is easily evidenced: sowing filmwork excellence
and reaping both client and associate loyalty. Many of HGI's
clients have used HGI's expertise for over ten years, and
many of the original associates from HGI's inception still
clock in and out in the same hallowed halls. The clients
have remained due to HGI's filmwork superiority which contrasted
effectively with competitors. Of course, HGI's competitive
prices and warp-speed turnarounds did not diminish the excellence
and loyalty that attracted those same customers in droves.
Conventional scanning, dot etching,
stripping and proofing have been replaced with computer-driven
electronic scanning, retouching, file output and proofing.
HGI's reputation as the finest film engraver stretches from
coast-to-coast and now trascends into Digital file work.
The service reaches its zenith of excellence
with HGI's sales, pre-production, production, and accounting
staff who labor fastidiously to make sure a customer's needs
are almost always surpassed. There exists nowhere a more
caring group of people.
